Description
Tudor Times Family Trees
A tree showing how HM The Queen is descended from Cicely Neville, Duchess of York.
Cicely Neville, great-granddaughter of Edward III, was a key protagonist during the Wars of the Roses. Her husband unsuccessfully claimed the throne from Henry VI, who was the son of Cicely's cousin, but two of her sons were crowned - Edward IV and Richard III. Her granddaughter, Elizabeth of York, married Henry VII and the couple became the ancestors of all subsequent English, and later, British, monarchs, including HM The Queen.
